The four photos below, originate from the last photo session for GAGAMODELS before summer break. Three new faces showed up but it was Magdalena who dominated the shooting with her fresh look, wild behavior and kind of... woman / child appearance. The camera just loves her and I'm looking forward to more sessions with her.

Finally! We did it. A full scale session with Lena and her dolls.
"...fascinating is the design process, when a doll slowly appears in my hands. Different from others, strange, with certain "flaws", but beautiful in a way. The new, unusual, magical tale is born with every new doll. Submerged in dolls world, I feel that I'm slowly becoming one, since there's really not much difference between us and them. Everyone, like my dolls has his own, unique inner beauty. My name is Lena Ovcharova, I was born in Tashkent. Dolls are my passion since one year now. They're made manually from scratch..."

15.05.2009 / TISSUE PROJECT

Tissue project is a collective work of four people. Me, the photographer, Bogna (stylist) and two stage actors: Izabela and Tomek. The shootings lasted about two months, including very uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous environments. Our goal was to approach the mystery of the evolution of human body. This was one of a kind metaphorical journey through world of human organs, life and death. We've found a perfect place for first exhibition - a medieval cellar structures hidden under one of the parking lots downtown. Until this very moment, noone has the idea this place even exists. The photographs were accompanied by video showreel displayed on one of the cellar walls. The response of the public was outstanding and strongly polarized... from illumination to blasphemy. Take a look and decide for yourself... Right now we're looking for possibilities to print the album and to exhibit the project in major cities in Poland and abroad.

19.08.2001 / UNFORGETTABLE...

Paris, 9 a.m. A small apartment at Rue des Dames, where we used to live for over a month. A smell of coffee in the air and sounds of accordion coming from the street below... This was one of these unforgettable mornings in the city of love, except this time I spontaneously took my camera and began to register every single moment. Kasia was already out of the bed, but still half dreaming, going about her morning coffee ritual.
In the begining she barely noticed what I was doing, later it all transformed into one of a kind photo session. Months and years passed and such magic moment didn't ever occur again... Too bad all these beautiful things and moments of our lives don't last longer, but there's always hope...
